Been sitting on my shelf for 7 years. Shame on me.
Definitely has adult sex scenes but it is one of those Continued for 4 books and I'm not sure if there ever is an HEA.

Maybe one day I will try it. But I wouldn't hold my breath

Well this wasn'twhat i was ecpecting

I guess all that glitters isn't gold. So many questions about how this will resolve itself. I'm not quite sure what is in store but I'm sure it will be a very bumpy ride.

Dark and twisted. I'm not sure my therapist would approve of this book. The characters are something else. And that scene at the end hurt. A lot

This story was so twisted. It was riveting in a dark demented way. I wasn't aure how things were going to turn out until the very end. Very good storytelling. This was no redeemable hero in this book.

Interesting story filled with suspense. I have a lot of questions that need to be answered and am looking forward to them in the next book.

Something about this story keeps me turning the pages. So many questions. One gets answered and two more take its place. Looking forward to the conclusion

I was not ready for the ending. Nor, was I ready for the twist that came from this book. Every question was answered and then some..

I found this book to be very good and would recommend the series.

This book took me a bit to get into it but by the 40% mark I was all in. By the cliffhanger end I was 100% engrossed. I cannot wait for book two.

There is something about how this author writes that keeps me turning the pages. I find myself wishing I could stop but at the same time I can't. This is definitely not a happy story. On to the conclusion and see how this turns out for Kelly/Chloe and Alvin/Miles.

This series was a roller coaster of feelings. It was dark. It was twisted. And it was intense. Not for the squeamish.

I enjoy stories like this. Dear Mr. Maybe reminds me what drew me to romance in the first place. Casey and Ellie create a beautiful mess out of an ugly disaster. Lavelle breaks into the heart with humor, emotion and a love story that borders on hopeless, but finds extraordinary.

How long is one expected to hold on to the feeling that a better life is undeserved? A month? A year? A decade? A lifetime?

Carlene has spent the last four years filled with contrition for her part in a life-altering tragedy. She stops at the Chapel to pray.

“The tears . . . spilled out, unhindered, warming my cheeks and dripping onto my hands.
With every drop that fell, guilt and regret shredded my insides.

. . . After all this time, I still found it difficult to put into words what I’d done.”

Then . . . A stranger. A chance meeting. A kiss and hope begins to flourish.

Carlene takes one step forward, then another. Enter Nick and watch love ignite. Carlene’s life changes for the better and she succeeds beyond her imagination.

But secrets exist between them, devastating secrets that could destroy their love so fragile.

This novella by Dori Lavelle took hold of me and I couldn’t put it down until I found out what the secrets were. Intriguing. Captivating. Mezmerizing. Fascinating characters. I can’t wait for the next installment of the Moments in Time Novella Series, Rekindled Moments, due to be released in February 2014.

To Live Again brings us into the world of Kelsey O'Neil, the woman smart enough to walk away from the wrong man, and Shaun Brannon, a man with secrets that he would rather not share. Together they will heat up the tongues of the cozy village called Dreara as Kelsey seeks to reach Shaun's heart and teach him how to open it up to love.

Ms. Lavelle has the most incredible ability to write believable characters and a talent for story development. The weaving of her current series, Learning to Live Again, and characters from her previous series, A Moment in Time, left me feeling a connection to Kelsey and Shaun that goes so much deeper than a first novel. I managed to finish To Live Again with tears streaming down my face as my heart was breaking. Now waiting until To Love Again is released is going to prove to be pure torture!

I highly recommend To Live Again, Dori Lavelle's first book in her new series, Learning to Live Again and give is five steaming cups of Room With Books coffee!

It is a great pleasure to read and review Veiled Obsession by Dori Lavelle.

Veiled Obsession by Dori Lavelle carries a very strong warning and should be heeded! This is not your regular hearts and flowers, happily ever after offering!

Veiled Obsession is written as though Ms. Lavelle has immersed herself in researching the subject of domestic abuse or lived through the terror herself. I am amazed at the emotions that I experienced while reading it. As a survivor myself, it resonated very deeply in me. I experienced the joy, the disbelief, the shame, the anguish, the terror and the hopelessness Ms. Lavelle wrote into Haley, and I still feel a deep and abiding hatred for Jude Macknight that will carry me through this series, His Agenda.

Well done, Dori. Your range and writing abilities continue to amaze me with every subsequent novel.

I highly recommend Veiled Obsession by Dori Lavelle and give it five steaming hot cups of Room With Books coffee.

Entangled Moments by Dori Lavelle is the first book in the Moments in Time series. It has a cliffhanger ending that will leave you groaning in frustration until the next book is out. You are a wicked woman indeed Dori lavelle. Wicked.

Carlene is just barely keeping it together each day until she meets Nick. They are both paying their respects at a local chapel and he asks her to go for coffee. In a perfectly quaint scenario she has an almost slip and fall and he catches her and leans in to kiss her good and proper in the middle of the coffee shop.

After this inspiring event and with the encouragement of a dear friend, Carlene sets out to come to terms with the tragic past and take slow and steady steps forward.

As the title suggest, the characters in this tale are entangled in each other before they are even aware of the how or why of it.

The book is about 100 pages (i.e. shortish) so the characters develop quickly and events happen steadily. You won't be bored. Romance, a little heat, a whole lot of angst, and a really sweet tale (albeit with a wicked cruel cliffhanger ending)(*groans*).
