"Open Your Eyes: Discover Your Sense of Sight is an informative, interactive book that invites students to discover through hands-on exploration. Upper elementary school students can read and complete many of the activities on their own. With teacher guidance, lower elementary students will enjoy them, too. This book integrates vocabulary and facts within the activities about the eye in a way that will appeal to elementary teachers. Each concept is presented with a full explanation and then followed with a fun experiment to explore first-hand. For example, students will read about the optic nerve, then find their own blind spot. The most fascinating aspect of the book is the presentation of the information.
