Abbey Lincoln (1930–2010)

Sage wakes up the next morning in Derek's bed. She knows she'll have to quit. Derek convinces her not to quit. He'll keep his hands to himself. Sage agrees but does not know how that will work. Will he keep his promise or will he let his attraction for her interfer?

I enjoyed this quick read. I like Sage and Derek. I like how their intentions are good but the flesh is not willing to agree. It gets hot and heavy again.

My only complaint is the cliffhanger ending. I cannot find a sequel to this story. I am devastated. I want to know how this ends.… (meer)

Sage wants to work at an attorney's office but she is upset that Derek does not even look at her during their interview. Turns out he is attracted to her. He hires her and on her first day, he keeps her from falling twice. At the end of the day, he invites out for a drink which happens to be available in his home. Does she accept?

I enjoyed this quick read. I liked Sage and Derek. Derek does not hesitate to let Sage know he is attracted. While he may be her boss, neither can deny the attraction. It gets hot and heavy quickly. I enjoyed that also.

This sets up the series very well. And there is a bit of a cliffhanger but in a good way.… (meer)
