The Cosmic Century: A History of Astrophysics and… door Malcolm S. Longair

This is an excellent, thorougn history of astrophysics and cosmology in the 20th century. It is also a good introduction to astrophysics and cosmology for someone with a moderate technical background: freshman-level calculus and physics. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in the subject.
