Thanksgiving is coming and Maddie’s family has just moved to Israel. She sometimes misses America and the American holidays but as she makes friends from other countries in Israel she realized everyone has their own traditions to follow. Her friend from Ethiopia shares her celebration of Sigd which is now an Israeli national holiday. Together they celebrate with a feast.
Even though this story is set in modern Israel, it has the feeling of a traditional folktale. Children dan learn about the sights and sounds of Israel.
