Earth transition to a game world and the MC has to survive while trying to keep his sister safe.
Interesting game idea - but the whole setting is not for me - too much tension and despair for my taste.

This is the second series I’ve read that has the dungeons and dragons type narrative. This one was much more detailed. It was based on a video game rather than a world. I liked it and did the audiobook version. I’ll keep reading it, but admittedly the reading off of the stat updates got old. I’m sure if I was reading it I’d be skimming those sections but overall, strong work.
