I’m always looking for a way that is fun and engaging to coax my children into learning on their own and this is a good one to lay out for a child to explore. I never thought I’d see my children pouring over a grammar book but they love this format, it’s engaging and does not feel like work.

This is a really cute Pop up/ Picture book that teaches children about their world and the world around them. It has science in it as well as some history and geography. It has some pictures in it that use correctly scaled drawings of the earth and lists all the correct facts about each thing that is in the picture book.

Really just Manhattan with a couple of nods to the Bronx with the zoo and Yankee Stadium. Some impressive feats of paper engineering.

This book would be great to use for young children at the start of a music class. The pictures and the pop-up feature made the book really interesting and could keep children's attention. Aside from the great pictures, the book also does a great job using language children can understand to explain basics about music such as notes and rests.

It's very busy, but still feels more like lessons than fun. And this copy has stuff missing.

Summary
In this book you take a trip around the world and see pop-ups of mountains, volcanoes, continents, and countries. It has pop-ups and lift tabs of places and landmarks around the world with great information. It illustrates the geography of Earth and the Solar system.
Personal Reaction:
The way the information is presented makes learning fun. Liked the use of pop-ups and lift tabs to present information. Great colors and illustrations.

Extension Ideas:
1. Have children create a pop-up landmark of their own.
2. Have children create a lift tab picture of Oklahoma with factual information about Oklahoma.½
