This is the first time reading this author. I liked the premise of the book but something was missing to make it awesome. I will continue on and read the next book as I was still intrigued at the end of the book. The characters were interesting and there was a good mix between drama and humor.

What a great book, but I do love anything that's paranormal! Talk about a war between the goddesses and the demons, but who was at the back of magic apocalypse? With distrust growing demons and goddess were blaming each other for braking the hundreds of years old truce. I like the witty Elemental Mage from the start and I didn't blame her for giving her ex a hard time, but the competition has draining badly needed income that would put her out of business much less than her home! Alexandra Shaw's powers were only fuller with the full moon, but when her ex offered her a consultant position to help find a killer, she agreed as that money could keep her business from going to red. Book One had men rapidly reading and I look forward to book two!… (meer)

WOW, What a great book and I never read book one yet! I liked that quirky Alexandra Shaw had a Fae boyfriend who kept her centered when she needed it most! Half Elemental Mage and half goddess, she trained with Kagan, her boyfriend who was a member of the Magical Dynasties. When a time Mage goes missing, Alex gets handed the case but then two more Mages go missing but she has a clue. All is not what it seems as Alex and Kagan are fighting for their lives!! Now I CAN'T WAIT TO READ BOOK 3!!

Alice is a lawyer but she dreamed of being a star. When a stranger asks “What do you want?” she begins to wonder if failing to follow her dreams might have been a mistake. So she packs her bags, follows up on connections, takes advice from all the right and wrong people, and finds success. Of course, success has a price, as Alice and the reader slowly learn. But the nature of this price is far from simple, and the fall into paying it is paved with good intentions.

Alice in Sinland convincingly depicts the dog-eat-dog world of musical stardom, the compromises of creativity, and the demands of success. It’s a fast-moving, curious tale that feels part parable, part real life—perfectly fitted to its title. This rabbit hole leads to stardom, and tiny Alice will grow much larger than herself before she learns the road to being herself. An enjoyable, surprising book; highly recommended.

Disclosure: I was given a copy and I offer my honest review.
