Shin Mashiba

This manga series is about a Baku, one who eats nightmares. He offers to solve people's dream problems, if he can eat their nightmares when done. The revelations revealed through the nightmare explorations are both good and bad. "Nightmare Inspector, Vol. 1" started off great! I know that I am just going to read the whole series through in a matter of days. They are just that good and not too too taxing on the mind. But totally worth the time and effort spent!

This was yet another great series of adventures. More of the truth behind the strange place known as "Delirium" is revealed and the new lodger "Hifumi" proves to be a hoot as well as providing a sort of balance to the strange world that is the Silver Tea House. Volume 5 should be awesome, I can't wait!

Volume 7 of "Nightmare Inspector" includes a whole slew of strange adventures, from the secret wealth and dangers hidden within the pages of a manga, to the dreamer who places his fate (both in his dreams and in real life) on the roll of a die, to a scary dream of a shrinking room which conceals a deadly present and the dream of a faithful who's loyalty to his master is used by his killer. They are all exciting and suspenseful! Volume 8 should be even better!

"Nightmare Inspector" just keeps getting better and better with each volume! In this edition, a customer from Hiruko's past as Azusa comes back for additional help. This story also sheds more light on Hiruko's past, both as a human and as a baku. In addition, the tragic past of Mizuki and her brother comes to light and the duo take on a dynamic new border. Can't wait for the next volume!
