You wouldn't think we needed another book on origami, introducing some common and simple models. But these illustrations are unusual, and probably the best I have ever seen, for communicating the rudiments of origami to puzzled beginners. Rather than represent the paper as 2-dimensional with dotted lines (for folds) and curved arrows (for directions), the artist has chosen to shade the figures and (without forgoing the dotted lines and curved arrows) to show some figures mid-process to clearly indicate what is going on. I think my 8-year-old granddaughter is going to get a lot of use out of this book.… (meer)
