It is a vibrant and fun book to read-aloud and certainly one that will be memorable for children and especially those who like penguins and cold terrain animals.

Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten.Soon after receiving this book this afternoon, I went to visit a neighbor who has a 5 year old little girl with whom I share a love a books. Of course I had this book with me- it is such a lovely and sweet little book! We spent an hour together reading and looking at the beautiful illustrations. I even learned a new word: cerulean! My little friend and I practiced, with a YouTube assist, saying the word.
to make the sky, written and illustrated by March Mattinly is just plain lovely. The story told not simply in words but in the illustrations that accompany the words. If all you do is read the words, it is a quick read. If you take time to look at the illustrations- well... my little friend and I took an hour with this book.
I highly recommend this book. I think it is a quiet time book, perhaps before bed, to share with a child. Beautiful sentiment and visuals to go to sleep with.… (meer)
