Linda McGehee

This is the result of a class I took at a sewing guild conference with Linda McGehee and I must say "I really enjoyed this idea." You get to make up your own Texture or Textile to any fabric using a collage of fabric scraps/ fabric manipulations before you decide where and when you want to use the final "creative" fiber art.

This book is jam packed with information on many different techniques to add texture to both clothing and home decor items, such as quilts. The sewing is all done on a sewing machine (hand sewing or sergers are not discussed). Many color photographs show both a finished item along with several steps in the process of making the textures. Because of the advanced nature of the design, this book would be of more use to experienced seamstresses and crafters.
