2.5 stars. I enjoyed the new spin on supernatural. Could’ve done without all the sex and more depth to the characters.

Well, I must admit that I was a bit sceptical at first because I do love the Sci Fi elements in my Science Fiction Romances as much as the steamy bits. But cowboys and indians in the mix as well?! Apart from watching a few movies and TV series way back in the day, I've never been a Western fan. I guess I'd built up a picture of the direction I thought this book would take but it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I actually thoroughly enjoyed myself while taking the journey with the very likable and entertaining characters. And don't forget, we're not talking about regular cowboys here, but Space Cowboys!

Space Cowboys & Indians is Episode 1 in the Cosmic Cowboys series, which is quite short but packs in more than enough action and, yes, some sexy times. Drop-out astronauts, a wormhole, travelling back in time to meet some real Indians and a romance with a happy ending - what else is there?! Lisa Medley has definitely covered all the bases to satisfy this Sci-Fi Romance addict, and steers the genre into a totally new trajectory at the same time!

I am genuinely delighted that I loved this story so much and can't wait to discover the many possibilities this first book hinted at in future stories in the Cosmic Cowboys series.

After having been introduced to and loving the surprising combination of indians, cowboys (space cowboys, that is - and gorgeous they are, too) and science fiction in Lisa Medley's first book in her Cosmic Cowboys series, Space Cowboys and Indians, I can happily report that the author has done it again with The Astronaut's Princess! I truly loved Ela and Noah's story, and I especially loved these two as people. Ela is a plucky, independent-minded Indian Princess, whose outlook on life deviates somewhat from Apache tradition. Debunking Hollywood stereotypes is always a good thing, too. Three cheers to Ela's father, Chief Itza-Chu, for allowing her to travel life's journey in her own way. Noah is such a sweety and so deserves to finally be happy with a loved one of his own.

Without giving anything away, what I really enjoyed about this book is the intermingling of the Mescalero tribe's history with the science fiction elements of the story to produce a perfectly plausible plot, which brings together life on a present-day Indian Reservation and the excitement and danger of space (and time) travel.

Having brought Ela from the 1800s forward to the present time via a wormhole in order to save her life, Noah proves just how strong and noble of character he is when he constantly worries about how Ela will adapt to her new life in a new time. He goes out of his way to ensure she is as happy as possible but feels bad about abandoning her to carry on with his work in space. It's wonderful to watch Ela and Noah at first treading carefully despite their feelings, especially in Noah's case, and then surrendering to their serendipitous and uniquely special connection.

One of my favourite lines: "No wonder his soldier was still at attention." The intimate moments between them are deliciously sexy and contribute in a very sweet way to solidifying their relationship and future together.

I certainly hope we will see more of Tessa and Cole, the stars of Space Cowboys and Indians, and Ela and Noah, as well as new characters and more engrossing adventures in Lisa Medley's original and richly imagined sci-fi world.

"4 out of 5 stars! All her life Ruth has known she was different, especially with her ability to see other people’s auras. However, since she was twelve-years-old, when she witnessed her father’s death, she has been alone keeping herself away from people and afraid of her ability. Now, an adult with a PhD Ruth’s life dramatically changes after her mother dies and Deacon—a two hundred and six year old reaper—inserts himself into her life to show her that she is a reaper too. Yet, as their time together brings them from one extreme circumstance to the next and their connection exponentially grows, they’ll have to decide what they are willing to do to keep on another safe…

Intense and dynamic with a more unique setting then I am use to reading, it become intrigued from the very beginning. Ruth is a surprising character because in the beginning she is not what I would have expected as a leader..."
