This book was harder for me to rate. I do not know what exactly would make a book of this description a good book. This book focused on how China’s inventions have helped shape and change science throughout the years worldwide. It was printed in 1986 so I am sure that there are many more inventions that the Chinese have helped with science. This book would be hard to incorporate into the classroom. Maybe at older age levels they may understand the intentions behind the book.

I really enjoyed this. I was born and brought up in a suburb of New Plymouth, New Zealand called Fitzroy. I went to Fitzroy Primary School. When I saw this book in a Used Book Store in Auckland last year, I had to have it. I read it on the plane back to California and, since then, have read another book that just deals with Tierra del Fuego and Cape Horn. I would like to visit there one day.
