A difficult question: Are the photographs the main attraction of this book or rather the fascinating texts? The pictures range from very good to stupendous. The texts make us appreciate the pictures more, but are also themselves improved by being so well illustrated.

I love hearing the cuckoo this time of year. I will listen even more now.
