This is a cute book of poems that is appropriate for young children and up. As a preschool educator, I am always looking for ways to introduce poetry and rhyming to pre and early readers. This is a good book to read aloud to that age(and older). The cadence of the poems flow nicely and there are very few forced rhymes (those words that really don’t rhyme sound close enough). The subject matter is appropriate for 1st grade and up on all the poems and most of them are appropriate for younger children. If you are looking for something more than nursery rhymes to explore the english language with kids, this is a good book to get.
