This was really fun. I thought Julia's narrative voice was good (crispy!), and the frustrations of being a child who is tagging behind their parents, for better or worse. Or how much kids want to believe in their parents.

I really thought the book was hinting that Julia's dad had early set on dementia or was just a giant attention-seeker. like, when josh's parents said they had a cut, then he magically had one too.

Even though the subject matter is aliens this is also very relatable for readers who have family or friends deeply ingrained in conspiracy theories.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this from beginning to end.… (meer)

A fun little graphic novel for kids.. A preteen girl takes a road trip with her Dad to Roswell, New Mexico on the anniversary of an alien landing there many years before. Her parents are divorced and this also serves as a bonding experience with her pop. Her Dad is one of many going there who believes he had an earlier encounter in the past. He, with others, are hoping the aliens will reconnect on the anniversary. The question comes up as the book proceeds is are her Dad and the others delusional.… (meer)
