A short history of the Back Bay area of Boston, with emphasis on the buildings and homes of the well-to-do who lived there.

Three books for my BBF tour reseach. The first is the most bookish, being a well-researched history of the actual filling of Back Bay with a lot of stuff I didn’t know. The second book is an Images of America picture book, with photos I’ve never seen before of the Back Bay in various stages of development. The final book is a coffee table book with a summary of the material in the other books and a fairly methodical examination of Back Bay through space and time via photographs
