This set is beautiful, and I do adore it. The art may not be for everyone, but it is well made. Each dragon is creatively designed to match the fruit, berry, or vegetable it's based on. The cards itself are well-made and easy to shuffle. There is no flaky lining, and the backs do not show reversals. The art does not have borders surrounding it, instead reaching across the entire card. At the bottom is an insert of a worn, brown section of parchment with small map designs. Atop is the dragons' common name and its keyword underneath.
The guidebook quickly lists the instructions and then sets off into the cards. Each section is well described and does not hold your hand. What to do with these cards is entirely up to you. Each entry includes a grayscale photo of each animal, with the common name, genius, and species underneath. Next is a single keyword, followed by a description of the dragon. Funny little field notes and habitat then follow. Last is the actual meaning of the card.
Again, this deck is adorable. It really wraps you into a story of its own, and it doesn't tell you what to do with it. It's a worthy purchase.… (meer)
