Boring plot with mediocre artwork. The story could have been stronger. I have the 2nd issue, but I am in no rush to continue reading.

Wicked dark fun with fantastic illustrations. There is a great unknown, which I thought I knew but then no that can't be it, and finally oh wow, what could that be ? This is dark, and it's gory, gloriously so. Cliffhanger ending at a nail biting moment. I have to continue, I have to know, have to see what and who.

Esse segundo volume é mais interessante, bem divertido.

My Review:
I'd like to say first that I really enjoyed the artwork in this book, the mostly black and white with a little bit of colour here and there really stood out for me, and it worked well with the story. I was excited to start this from the moment I got it, and the description made it sound like something I would really like, and I did.

When the aliens came, they didn't come in peace or violence, they came to make a trade. Because their ships run on water, they needed a base in between wherever they're going and home, to fill up their tanks, and Earth seemed like the perfect place to do so. When Earth built the port, they were given technology to give them unlimited power, efficiently ending the energy crisis. Most visitors aren't seen outside their ships, and after a few years, almost three thousand ships have landed, and after an incident, almost as many people have died.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and I'm glad I got the chance to check it out. It follows two ESA soldiers, being followed by drones filming for a documentary. They encounter a rogue alien, and are forced to try to deal with it without violence, even though it's destructive. The story is thrilling and I didn't want to put it down once i started reading it. Set near San Francisco, this book is completely unique when compared to the other comics I've read about aliens and I'm glad I got the chance to read it. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next volume, definitely check this out if you get the chance!

Meh. I remember really enjoying the TOP COW Tomb Raider comics back in the day. I am not sure whether this is a reboot and how this all fits in Okay so it's a prelude to the new Tomb Raider game (which I haven't played yet) - but I *still* didn't find it engaging at all comparatively. Maybe I just need to play the game. Or it could be just me though - I am 1/3 of the way through Tomb Raider Vol. 1: Season of the Witch though - and I find it much more engaging. Hmm... now I am wondering whether I should play the game first. Would continuing with reading these comics spoil the game for me?

It's a tie-in to a video game. A good video game, but a fairly banal, forgettable and uninspired comic.

Bombs rain down on the DMZ. They are the collective punishment for its diverse residents, but also for Matty Roth the journalist who tried to join them but couldn't resist the temptation to be a player. These are short stories about new and well-known DMZ residents. And they're pretty good, but they stall for time at resolving the larger DMZ plot. I get the sense that the end of this series is approaching.

I really think the Knights of the Old Republic series was much better at the beginning, and this last volume wasn't all that riveting by the end.

It was around three years ago that I finished up Knights of the Old Republic, the only Star Wars comic series so good that I persuaded my wife to read it. War is a coda to it, which I finally picked up so that she could have an uninterrupted reading experience. It's okay. Zayne has gotten hit by a bit of an idiot ball at the beginning, and KotOR just isn't KotOR without most of the supporting characters, but once the big cons start coming, it feels just like the Knights of the Old Republic I knew and loved. I just hope this isn't the last we see of Zayne and the gang.

Things are clearly coming to a close. The war is ending. Here we have another of those volumes with bunch of short glimpses from various characters, most known, one random. The last time, it felt a bit disjointed and I didn't care much for it. This time they were all more directly tied together, and poignant. This was a great volume.½
