Oh Skin-Nay!: The Days of Real Sport door Clare Briggs
This is a reprint of a 1913 collection of Clare Briggs' marvelously nostalgic look at childhood, "The Days of Real Sport". Each of Briggs' cartoons is accompanied by a short verse by Wilbur D. Nesbit, and they may have been more appreciated at the time, but the main draw is Briggs' warmly charming pictures of childhood just after the turn of the 20th century. I love how some aspects of childhood have never changed, and technology and culture have completely altered others.
