Beau film noir, magnifiquement mis en scène et utilisant de superbes mouvements de caméra ainsi que des cadrages innovants pour l'époque.

Really great film for many reasons, IMHO.

Based on Arthur Schnitzler play Der Reigen. Highly recommended.

From 3 Maupassant stories. Evidently, the last story was changed/censored 1/2 way through production. It was about a young man who finds out that his girlfriend has had a lesbian affair and commits suicide! A little too hot for the 50's!
