Takes the reader on a far reaching journey, an exploration of finding home and establishing lasting family ties as much as a series of entertaining and instructive seagoing tales.
This is easily one of my favorite travel memoirs. Lin has a great sense of words and expresses both the excitement and hardship of cruising. I know I will read this again and again.
i love everything that lin and larry write. they are a constant inspiration and a wealth of information about living on a boat and cruising around the world.

Bull Canyon by Lin Pardey was a terrific read....This is a true story, yet it reads like the best of fiction. I learned a little about boat building, life in a secluded canyon without the amenities I take for granted, and what it meant to this couple to have the freedom to set sail to any destination of their choosing. What I enjoyed most about this story was the sense of adventure, bravery and optimism it portrayed...
