I cannot wait to use this in ECRTR. The kids will have such fun with the rhythmic words and phrases! And it's dinosaurs....how do they NOT love that?!

As the population increases and people move into desert areas, so does demand for water increases. Dry, barren ground can result from overuse by humans. The book introduces children to plants and animals living in the desert. This book is fascinating to read and learn how animals and plants survive in such harsh climates, and temperate that change from day to night. I found the book to be informative and useful for any age (teacher will most likely read to younger students). My favorite part is the glossary with pictures found at the back of the book.… (meer)

I am a former teacher and this book would be perfect for second and third grade students who are studying habitats. The text is simple, yet full of basic facts about coral reefs. The illustrations pair very well with the text, as they highlight each part of the coral reef discussed in the text. I appreciate how the book provides a glossary and additional facts at the end of the story!
