Josh, an explosives specialist, has more than one painful memory to deal with, and his biggest obstacle at the point the story starts is his own unwillingness and inability to deal with any of it, exacerbated by his refusal to get kind of help from his family. But then, sometimes it takes a stranger to shake things up to the point that progress becomes possible. It is a very hard road to travel, and Josh's painful memories and dysfunctional coping mechanisms clashed constantly. Avoidance was his only way out – until Ethan appears
Ethan used to serve in the British Navy, so he understands the military part of Josh's issues. He is captured by Josh's good looks then fascinated by the depths of his problems. The biggest question was whether he'd have the patience to stick it out and the guts to walk away when that was the only thing left for him to do. Sometimes breaking things off is the only signal strong enough to get through to a very stubborn partner. This story is a perfect example of such a case.
If you like books with wounded heroes, if you enjoy quite a bit of psychological drama in your reads, and if you're looking for some hot action between the sheets while the heroes fight through their issues and attempt to figure each other out, you will probably like this story.
