This Dover Edition is an "unabridged reproduction of the Stetson Press (1911) edition, which is a facsimile of the single surviving copy of the 1830 edition." Following a Prefatory Note detailing the history of the book and a Preface filed with as many words starting with the letter P as possible, for each letter of the alphabet there is a poem and a woodcut. The poems, except for the last few letters of the alphabet, seems to consist of the same format as the well-known "Peter Piper pick'd a Peck of Pickled Peppers."… (meer)
