Predictable but likable story, in which a young woman stumbles upon an illegal business selling looted ancient Egyptian artifacts. The main character – our supposed sleuth - is a college student procrastinating on studying and drooling over “hot guys with tight buns”. I didn’t find her germophobic rituals or klutzy phone-breaking antics humorous or endearing; rather they were overplayed. But I am not the target audience, particularly as I generally find cozy mysteries silly & unsophisticated, (case in point) like all the conversations with the dog. Ugh. Despite all that, it was a fast read & the story kept me reading to the end! I won a free copy of this book (thanks to the author & publisher!) and am voluntarily providing an honest review.½
