I fell immediately in love with this collection. Poole's writing is mesmerizing, beautiful, detailed, and one of its strength is its ability to point toward the metaphysical in the ordinary. There is a sadness in these stories, but a deep well of hope and goodness, despite the tragedy and depression. I look forward to reading everything else by Nathan Poole.
