705. Inaugural Addresses of the Presidents of the United States from George Washington 1789 to John F. Kennedy 1961 (read __ Aug 1962) This book sets out all the inaugural addresses up through 1961. It was probably inspired by the thought that the soaring inaugural address by JFK would out shine the earlier ones, or at least most of them. I enjoyed reading all of them. In my mind now I can't help but think that Lincoln's second inaugural address, delivered Mar 4, 1865, is the best ever made.½
