"Hoax is a compilation zine created by Sari and Rachel that discusses feminism "in relation to different aspects of day-to-day life. The theme of issue 9 is "vulnerabilities." The contributors discuss being vulnerable when communicating about triggers, abuse, disability, or incontinence, as well as roles that have required vulnerability like caring for dying parents and publishing a zine. There is an interview with Daniela Capistrano, founder of the POC Zine Project, a piece from a mental health worker about the American mental health system and its failure to properly counsel people from other cultures and religions, feelings regarding transphobic and femme-phobic behaviors in the feminist community, and a person's personal experiences using BDSM and using rape fantasies to reclaim sexuality after being sexually assaulted. Each issue has a section highlighting amazing feminists both past and present."

"The theme of this text-heavy feminist comp zine is feminisms and change. Here the idea of change is explored through narratives that show the multitude of ways that ‘change’ can be discussed. There are essays on accountability & forgiveness, the decision to become sober, creating a ‘life list’ to actualize what you want out of life, white activism as a performance, dealing with the death of a loved one, the future of feminism, & so much more. With 22 essays, along with interviews with Dean Spade, Tasha Fierce, & Hanne Blank, this zine is packed with feminist responses to what change looks like & how we react to it." - http://strangerdangerzines.com… (meer)

This zine is comprised of the author's reflections on her relationships with both the word "queer" and queer community spaces. It's separated into three parts: building queer communities, queer history, and the commodification of queer pride events.
