Gr 1–5—A fantastic way of teaching ecology, but more, this book expresses very high-level concepts about
humanity and personhood within a positive framework of individuality. In accessible language and pictures, the
visual and spoken narratives connect kids to different tangible and intangible ideas to grasp now or later.

This is very much a not for me book, but I do understand the appeal. These are sweet simple poems told in very unconventional ways. The author called them "word paintings" and I think that fits them perfectly. Kids would love this for sure, it's novel and interesting. I just didn't care for it.

Through loose verse Raczka ushers readers through a most unusual fall. Kids will enjoy finding all of the "errors" throughout the text and illustrations. Look forward to sharing this with students in the fall!
