This is a fun little book with basic sentences about how to cook a wolf, told by a pig chef. The layout of this book is very appealing because the drawings are on the right page and the text is on the left. The text always has a solid color background behind it, and the colors of text and background are complementary and pleasing to the eye. I also appreciate the beautiful cursive script.

The story is basically a recipe. Because there are clear instructions, I think it would be fun in a class of kindergartners for us to act out the recipe and even do some exciting dramatizations. This could be a group activity where teams compete to make the best performance.… (meer)

The story revolves around the child establishing a routine before going to bed. But as the chores/tasks are completed, the face of the book eventually starts to fall asleep so the child also gains an emotional and social awareness of what it means to be tired/ fall asleep. Graphic representations of the book were pretty good and the child could actually see that it is the book and not a person falling asleep. Book was a delight to review.
This is "I Am the Wolf...And Here I Come!" meets Herve Tullet (Mix It Up, Press Here). Good fun, simple illustrations, easy to read over and over again.
