I received this book on NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Oh man. The cover, the description, the premise really hooked me in and I just HAD to read this. Plus, there was baseball mentioned and I was sold. But unfortunately, this does not live up to that expectation.

First, this is an instalove book. The characters literally meet and are already together after boarding a plane. I wouldn't usually complain, but the plot doesn't really make sense or come together for me, personally, to help that instalove blossom for me.
Secondly, I expected more baseball. There was a few scenes here or there, but then it just stopped. It picks up again, but was mostly focused on the guy - obviously - but I wanted more baseball for a sports book. Bummer.
And lastly, I couldn't really fall in love with these characters. There was nothing special about Gretchen or Josh to me. It seemed more like the author wanted to write spicy scenes, which is fine, and not really wanted a book with interesting characters or a plot.… (meer)
