Undercover Omega by Skye R Richmond
Billionaire Alpha’s series #2. Mpreg M-M romance.
Riley goes to work for Grayson and his son, Max, as a nanny. Grayson and Riley have an immediate attraction to each other and start a relationship. Riley is keeping a secret that may tear them apart.

The reader knows immediately when starting the story that Riley is the birth father or carrier of Max. So the whole time, you know the secret is between them. One of my least favorite troupes. Lies or secrets that create tension.
Taking the secret out of the equation, the attraction and romance is fast and sweet and steamy. It follows the alpha or dominant partner over a sub as their relationship becomes a partnership and love.
Angst and alpha, instalove, and toddler playing the main stage often.

Not sure why it was an m/m.

Mediocre writing paired with a beat-up plot. The whole conflict in this book is based on a weird miscommunication that should take exactly four words to clear. But Jai is too engrossed in his own misery which he clearly enjoyed and would not listen to Nick. Nick on his part has trouble explaining his engagement situation and pushing the four very important words out of his mouth: “the engagement is off”; instead Nick sounds like a broken record “it’s not what it looks like”. Meh. And more meh.

Will not recommend to anyone.

Nikolas is about to enter into an eminently suitable marriage to someone he really can't stand, but his new fiance is the perfect Omega with the perfect pedigree. They both are perfectly fine with the arranged status of their marriage and they are both fine with them getting their needs met otherwise, especially since Nikolas' new fiance really doesn't want to have anything to do with sex.

Jaimie is a delightful young Omega who doesn't have the perfect pedigree, but is a nice person. His first day on the job, he meets the boss, Nikolas, and sparks fly. They start a nice quasi-relationship, right up until things that Jaimie finds out all of the secrets that his Alpha has been hiding.

I love Jaimie. He's a sweet and beautiful soul. Just a joy to be around. I kind of like Nikolas most of the time, but there are times that he's an entitled twit. He just doesn't get why Jaimie feels the way that he does about things. But overall, I enjoyed the book.

Oh, this one broke my heart sometimes. Poor Luca. Even poor Linc.

Luca is an omega who got involved with the wrong person. He got left broke, pregnant, and now he's homeless.

Linc has been telling his papa that he has a boyfriend, even when he doesn't. But when he sees Luca, his alpha instincts kick in and he has to help the crying omega, so he asked him to come live with him and pretend to be his boyfriend.

I love this trope, and I think it's pulled off really well here. Luca really deserved someone who loved him as much as Linc did. Luca was pretty much Linc's entire world, and it showed. Linc needed someone who would be there and just stand with him and give him all the love he needed. They are so good for each other.

What do you do when you get pregnant as a teen and are pressured to give your child up for adoption? You wait until you can find them and then sign up to be their nanny, just like Riley.

Riley and Grayson are sweet together and there's a lot of chemistry between them, as well as love between them and their son.

Nice story, overall.

This a combination of a lot of different tropes and I think that they combined really well. I felt so sorry for Shay and Drew. Nothing that happens is really either of their faults, things just happen. But it's a great story, and I was happy with the way it ended up.

Not bad

I'm giving this a 3.5. I liked the basic premise, and generally like the characters. I feel like the story overall left some loose ends.

Needs a good editor... missing words, wrong words, extra words and rampant misuse of commas. Also too much repetition.

Seems I'm not the target audience for Omegaverse. To me it read too much like the worst of M/F romance dynamic.

And if you're going to introduce knotting... just mentioning the word doesn't cut it.
