Thomas Riha (–1970)

Pavel Nikolaevich Miliukov (1859-1943) was an important russian liberal politician of the last phase of the tsarist regime and the leader of the Constitutional Democratic (Kadet) Party. A proeminent personality in the pre-revolutionary Dumas, he became Russian's foreign minister in the first provisional government after the February 1917 revolution. An old style imperialist, he shared most, if not all, of the deposed monarchy's war aims and was forced to resign his government post in May 1917. After the Bolshevik coup and the failure of the counterrevolution he emigrated to the West where he died, in Aix-les-Bains, at the age of eighty four, as an uncompromising foe of the Soviet regime.
