When Mick first meets Shane, they are both smitten and have intense attraction, but they fight it until it becomes too much. Living on the streets doing anything to survive is the only thing that Vanessa has known these last few years and she has figured it out pretty well but there are always times when it pays to be cautious and going back to Queens was a chance she took because Robbie told her to never return yet he is the first person she runs into. Getting away from the creepy guy wanting her she runs into Matteo then her life takes a huge turn. Matteo is capo of his area, he protects those he loves, and is loyal to Bash. He is looking for the one that will make his life compete and he doesn’t expect it to be the homeless girl who took from him. When Matteo takes Vanessa he knows both of their lives will never be the same. Will Vanessa always have the urge to get away and run even if she has nothing to run to? Can Matteo fall for the girl who is getting under his skin or is his lifestyle too much for her innocence? This was a great mafia romance and I loved Matteo and Vanessa. At times Vanessa could be frustrating because he stubbornness was admirable but she had no where to go and Matteo gave her all she could ever need or want yet she was always fighting to leave. Also the other women married to the big bosses being nosey was sweet in an overprotective way but also was overstepping. Iz’s reaction to Vanessa was a little strange for me because yes she’s in love with her fiancée and treats Matteo as a brother but her reaction seemed like she had some residual feelings that went beyond familial. Overall I loved this because it was action packed, intense, and steamy.… (meer)

This is where Lia finds herself and Nikolai doesn’t trust her motives, story, anything and where he would normally eliminate the threat he finds himself intrigued by her. When Nik finds out that she is actually friends with his sister and left behind the worst situation for anyone in foster care he finds a need to help her but send her on her way because he doesn’t need any complications while running his empire. Lia is feisty and can hold her own and this just adds more to Nik’s interest in her yet he knows his lifestyle is not for someone like her. They go back and forth between attraction and hate but when Lia puts her life on the line and saves Nik’s life will things change or will Nik stick to his plan to send her away? When betrayal occurs and backs are against the wall will they find help in each other or will things fall apart because trust is not easily given let alone given twice. I loved this story because it had such strong characters, alpha broody mafia guys that would do anything to protect them, and Nik wasn’t like many mafia leaders I have read about. He was strong, relentless, could be cruel at times, but he would show some leniency and mercy if the occasion called for it and he had a heart of gold willing to help others or those he loved. A great read with a lot of twists and turns that kept me glued all the way through. I really hope we get a story about Dimitri and Ivy.… (meer)

When Enzo and his daughter V meet her and her dog she immediately feels safe around him. As much as Enzo fights his attraction he knows its only a matter of time before he snaps and claims Danica, but when her pasts comes back to haunt her can he keep his daughter and her safe? This story was such a great read full of suspense, heat, and the sweetest little girl ever. I loved all the characters and can’t wait for what’s next.… (meer)
