This book is about the animals in the ocean and how they live. First, it shows all of the seas and where they are located. Next is about whales, different kind and what parts they live in. Next chapter, is all about jellyfish. The book gives a bunch of fun facts about jellyfish and how they live. Sea otters is next, it gives exclusive detail about the sea otter. Rays, sea horses, penguin, octopus, coral, sea turtles, dolphins, crustaceans, manatees, marine iguanas, and walruses are some examples of animals they talk about.
This book was interesting. It helped me through my research project. It taught me a lot of new things. I never knew all the elaborate details of these sea creatures. This book shows good photos that deal with the main idea of the paragraphs. Overall, this book made me keep reading and taught me a lot. Oceans, by Johnna Rizzo, is a nonfiction book about the creatures in the oceans around the world. Some facts the author specifies about the animals are their habitat, diet, and their mating calls. One amazing creature are the stingrays. These animals have amazing bodies to survive: they excel at camouflage and are equipped for hunting and protection with a barbed spine on its' tail. The author also includes a section called, Ocean Extremes, in which the author includes facts about extreme habitats that marine life still thrives. Another fascinating place in the ocean are the coral reefs. This book informs the reader about the sea life you can find there, as well as including the largest reef in the world: The Great Barrier Reef. Near the end of the book, the author includes a section devoted to persuading the reader to save the worlds oceans. You can protect the ocean by recycling and picking up trash.

I enjoyed this book because is was very interesting and was packed with lots of facts. I would recommend this book to readers of all ages.… (meer)
