The story is about three children and a gargoyle. The bit I liked the most was when the gargoyle was scaring the boy named Zach, because it was funny.

The second book in the Gladstone trilogy surprised me by being from the perspective of one of the other children - our viewpoint is no longer new boy Zach, but non-neurotypical Genie. Another sweet short story about how you should always look to make friends, not enemies, and how even if your family isn't what you always thought it was, it can still be your family.

I think this is my favourite of the three Gladstone books. This one is told from the perspective of Ethan, the slightly naughtier of the children. Silliness to try and impress his non-church friends gets out of hand, and he manages to damage a valuable stained glass window. But by understanding the history of the village and why Gladstone really comes to visit, and by learning not to judge people on first impressions, it all ends happilly.

A cute story about Zach, who has just moved house, and Gladstone, a gargoyle who has found himself detached from his church. Can Zach help Gladstone return to his home, and make friends and have adventures on the way?
