In Jocelyn Steely, author Meghan Rodgers introduces us to a character with a ruthless past. She’s killed to save herself. She's an expert in taking down her targets, no matter what the consequences. But Jocelyn is still someone I rooted for. She’s a good person who was kidnapped from her parents and never given a choice to become anything but a spy.

Somehow, she manages to escape the North Korean agency controlling her and finds herself working for the good guys - in Wilmington, Delaware. (I worked in Wilmington for years and never guessed it would be the home base of a super-secret spy organization!) As Jocelyn struggles to come to terms with her past and gain acceptance in her new organization, Rogers creates an undercover world so realistic that I could easily picture every step of this thrilling adventure.

As for Jocelyn, even though she's tough and doesn't let people in easily, readers can see through the shell she’s built around herself for self-preservation purposes. She’s one of the best female action / adventure heroes I’ve read in a long time. And Jocelyn plus Travis is an even more powerful combination! I can't wait to read on and find out what happens in the next installment of The Raven Files.… (meer)
