Each word comes with a picture and a young-child-friendly definition. It's very well done. The definitions are interesting and my daughter as been continually fascinated for over a year now (She is about to turn 4). She constantly requests that we read a few pages out.

A decent book with strategies for helping children learn to read. Fortunately, my son did this almost effortlessly, but there is probably great info here for children who aren't naturally drawn to books.½
