The author, Isabel Sanchez Vegara’s makes the point that everything she did and all the accolades she received were all done in the name of the poor. This is a child friendly biography that shows a young woman striving to achieve her dream of helping others and that whatever you do, you do it in the name of love. The back of the book has a brief timeline that is for older readers. This book could be used to teach young children how to write a biography, show that it big or small, you can still make a difference in the lives of others. A good book for a school library.
