This book had an illustration style that was really rather unappealing. The story itself was just fine, with the misunderstandings being similar to those of a bad rom-com that could be easily solved in the main characters would just talk to one another. That being said though, the 'struggles' the two protagonists have will be recognizable to many a high schooler -- trying to do well in school, worrying about scholarships and acceptance letters, navigating friendships and romantic relationships within a small pool of folks who all know each other, and finding the balance between pleasing your parents and make your future your own.… (meer)
