Another cute addition to this series. Very likeable characters, laughter, antics, and a mystery. It was interesting to see parts of the same story scenes but from a different perspective. There were a few times that it felt repetitive but for the most part the author did a good job making it fresh.

Looking forward to the next part.

I have enjoyed this series so far. However, this story I struggled with. Even though I knew the characters from the previous books, this one would have been farfetched to be read as a standalone. As I mentioned, each book of this series is about a different couple but I felt like had I not read the other books then I would have been even more lost. There is a slight recap of how everything came to be but it still was hard to put the pieces together, not only as of the previous history of Owen and Hannah but in regards to the mystery of Lee Costa and the Wildflowers gang. When everything falls into place between these two it is fire because these two did have steam.

I would still read this book but I am glad that I had read the others first. I am still curious about where this series is going to go next.

I struggled with this book. It just was not for me. The storyline didn't keep my attention, and the characters annoyed me.

This is the second book in this series and I actually liked it more than the first book, and that does not normally happen, but that is the case with this one. We had met Liam in the last book he is one of brothers who is looking for his father and thinking that Elle was his dads mistress but as he spends time with her he doesn't think that is the case. Liam was entrusted to spend more time with Elle trying to find anytype of clues as to where their dad is at. Elle is one of the wildflowers a group of girls that came to be best friends at a time when they all needed each other and continued to be the best of friends, now they each own a part of the retreat but know that these group of brothers are hiding something and they are going to find out.. I don't want to say anymore so that you grab a copy and Enjoy! Can't wait for Hannah and Owen's story, and then we need someone for Scar and Aubrey- or is Aubrey with Aiden? Just wishing..

I tend to like Jill Sanders books and even though I can't say that I hated this book I wont say that I loved it.. See my reason is that this group just seemed like they acted more like teenagers to me than adults. The two main characters romance was based on lies to each other, so even though they were hot for each other that was basically their relationship in a nut shell their attraction because they were lying to each other and Zoey kept forgiving Dylan and I am not a fan of lying..It just does not start of a meaningful relationship good, yes I get that he was trying to do something I get all of that but I just think that he should have fessed up sooner and I get she should have had more of a back bone anyway all of this annoyed me and didn't let me enjoy the book as much. However I might, depending on what else is out there at the time, an read they next book in the series.

ARC Review: Sweet Resolve (Lucky) by Jill Sanders

It's easy to get lost in a Jill Sanders story. Her characters are so realistic, that it's not a stretch for a reader to picture themselves in the same situation. Sweet Resolve relates the story of Logan and Amy. Success is Amy's ultimate goal. Just as she is on the verge of conquering her greatest achievement, a familiar face puts a monkey wrench in her plans. Logan is the last person she wants to see. Her childish tormentor, has come to reek havoc on her adult life. Or has he? Sweet Resolve is an adorable story. Ms. Sanders story of maturity, forgiveness and romance takes a subject that we all experienced within our youth and turns it into a nostalgic romance about moving on. For the kid in us all.

Best of Luck (Lucky) by Jill Sanders
Jill Sanders is always a must on my favorites shelf. Her appeal lies in the message of simplicity she gives in times of complication. Her stories feel like home and that is what keeps me coming back. Best of Luck is a stroll down memory lane for a woman who craves something more. What happens when that something more was right in front of you, but you never saw fit to give it a chance? I lose my heart with every read.

Closer to You (Havana, Montana) by Jill Sanders
How can anyone not enjoy Closer to You? A little sexual tension, a bit of small town gossip and the wisdom of the heart that Ms. Sanders is known to deliver, makes for habit forming entertainment. Tyler and Kristin are as cunning as they are clueless. Before I even realized what was happening they had laid a claim to my heart. Sizzling sweetness never hurt anyone.

Unlucky in Love is a light hearted look at love, life and everything in between. Jill Sanders surprised me with this one because most of the stories I have read by her have a more serious tone to them. Kristen is neurotic, quirky and uptight which is a weird combination but makes for a lot of laughs. Austin is everything that Kristen strives to be successful and taken seriously. They shouldn't match but they do. NetGalley supplied me with an ARC of Unlucky in Love by Jill Sanders in exchange for an honest review. A comedic turn with a touch of whimsy, it worked for me.

So cute!!! This is a perfect light contemporary romance. Nothing angsty or overly dramatic and I LOVED it. I really liked Wendy and Cole. I felt that they were relatable people. I haven't read the other books in this series, so you can certainly read this as a stand alone, but now I want to go back and reread everything! And I cannot wait for the next book! If you are looking for a light, easy, HEA read, grab this book! It reminded me of old school Nora Roberts and Jude Devereux. It reminded me why I love romance books!

Sara Jordan has always wanted to run the family restaurant, so when her uncle leaves her in charge while he takes his wife on a much needed 1-month vacation, she is ready to take charge. Parker Clark is new to town and runs his own construction company. He is hired by Sara’s uncle to fix up the family restaurant. When Sara and Parker meet, there is an instant and undeniable attraction. While at first they try to hide their mutual attraction since they must work together, it soon becomes obvious that their strong feelings cannot be broken.

This is not your typical romance story as there are some hidden secrets, unexpected incidents, and a bit of suspense. If you enjoy a sweet and sexy romance that includes a bit of mystery, suspense, and a little action, then this is one to add to your “to be read” pile.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy from NetGalley.

I LOVED this book. I loved Lauren although she was a little too stubborn at times. She was quirky, loyal, smart and strong as hell. She has been given a horrible plate and is doing what she has to for her sisters. She takes some time to come around but Chase is the BEST. He is such a sweet guy, charming, and honest. I LOVE them together. This was a light, easy read and I enjoyed it.

What a wonderful story! Instantaneous attraction, sexy Alpha writer, sweet sexy actress, a family torn apart, secrets, & danger. This plot grew in intensity until the final scene. The interactions between the characters added depth & emotion to the plot. This was another great emotional story from a terrific writer!

Closer to You by Jill Sanders
Haven Montana #1

Wonderful beginning to what should prove to be an excellent series if this book is anything to go by. I am sure that brothers Trent and Trey will have books of their own BUT since the series is named after the location and not the brothers this could also include others who live in Haven.

The McGowan brothers are HOT and all the women in town seem to know it. However, when Kristen Howell shows up in her designer clothes and is “swept off her feet” it is not because she is immediately filled with lust by Tyler, the eldest McGowan. Nope…she assumes he is “the help” and not “the owner” she was sent to negotiate a deal with. Over time the two do become closer to one another and things heat up but with her living and working so far away there is little chance of a long term relationship, right?

This was a complex story with jealousy, kidnapping, embezzling, threats, fisticuffs, a taste of oil rigging rigors including life in an oil town, protestors and more. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Tyler and Kristen and rooted for them to end up with a happily ever after ending – they were perfect for one another. The family dynamics of the McGowans were warm and loving and everything a close family of brothers should be.

Words that came strongly to mind while reading and as I finished were: priorities, values, family and community…and how important they are in making lifelong decisions.

This was my first book by Jill Sanders but I enjoyed it so much that I want to read more of her work whenever I find it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Tyler thought he'd left the small town in the dust. The three brothers all left home & spread out to make their mark on the world. After their father's sudden passing, they are back & trying to run their father's company. Tyler is surprised when it turns out he has a knack for running the company.

Kristen works for a conglomerate that loves to buy up small companies that are doing well. She's been sent to make sure Tyler & his brothers sell out. Warning bells are starting to ring though. First, the chemistry between Tyler & Kristen was intense! If she gave in, would it go anywhere? Second, this job is beginning to seem like more than it was represented. The company she represents isn't taking no for an answer & is expecting her to use questionable tactics to get them to sell. Then the accidents start. What is going on?

Ms. Sanders has given her readers a good story with excellent well-developed characters. Several had motive & timing to perform the sabotage & the ending was a wonderful twist. Her descriptive prose makes it easy to envision the scenes in your mind as you are reading & gave me several chuckles.

Chase and Lauren were secretly married 7 years ago. Not for love, but for financial reasons. Lauren needed to save her ranch and well, Chase felt sorry for her. And now that he's back in town, he's rethinking this whole marriage thing. Lauren has successfully run the ranch and raised her two younger sisters without any help. She's headstrong and independent to a fault. Letting Chase back in is a big choice for her, but her heart knows the way and won't lead her astray.

I love these fast paced action packed books. Action starts out in Brazil and over a two month period things are blown up with harrowing treks through the jungle and dodging bullets. Ann is a journalist in Brazil on assignment. She has a new camera guy and thinks he’s nothing but an arrogant ladies man and she can’t wait to get him fired when they get back to the states. But she needs him for one last interview that she is hoping gets her a Pulitzer. The source claims he can expose how the government is tangled up in the drug business. Little does Ann know but it was a setup and soon her whole team is dead and her camera man isn’t a camera man after all. Ethan was hired by her father to keep her safe while she was in Rio. When a bomb goes off in their hotel Ethan has no choice but to finally admit who he is and go on the run with Ann through the jungle to keep her safe and one step ahead of the bad guys. As these two are running for their lives they give into their smoldering attraction for one another. There were many facets to this story. Ethan has a previous history with Ann’s family and he also runs his own security firm that he uses many of his old special forces buddies to help on ops. Then there is the mystery of who wants to make sure that Ann’s senator father doesn’t pass a bill and are trying to kidnap Ann to make sure he backs off. These are my favorite type of stories and the author does a fabulous job of entertaining you from the start.

New paranormal series about of group of people who by the end of the book have special abilities awakened in them.

Christina has had abilities her whole life and her bible thumping family abuses her in the name of trying to exercise the demons out of her. Along with being able to see the dead she can also see a person's life history just from touching them. This didn't make for a nice childhood and made it hard for Christina to establish emotional connections to anyone. After the death of her parents she returns home, to a town she never thought she would step back in again.

Michael moved to Hidden Creek, Georgia for peace and quite after some traumatic things happened when he was a police officer. Problem is his quite life is interrupted every night by a ghostly apparition. He had been dealing with this for year and imagine his surprise when his new neighbor Christina can also see it.

What looks to be a story about two people having to deal with their past along with also accepting each other's abilities turns out to be so much more. There are quite a few secondary characters that are introduced who somehow are all tied together but something we dont fully find out by the end of the book. This was a great setup for the series that still has lost of mysteries left to unveil.

Wow! What a great book! I loved the story line of Lane getting talked into posing for a firefighters calendar. But that's not all. As another fundraiser, he agrees to participate in a Fireman Auction and be auctioned off for a dinner date. Abby was new in town and just ended a relationship. In an attempt to cheer her up, Abby's cousin, Jenna, takes her out. Little did Abby know they were going to the auction. Jenna bought Mr. September, Lane, for Abby when she was out of the room. Abby was sure surprised when she found out.

As with all of Jill Sanders books, the writing is smooth flowing making it easy to follow the plot. And what a plot! Starting with hunky firemen posing for calendars then seeing the softer side to Lane when he starts caring for Abby. I love seeing a big, strong alpha male getting all mushy for a woman. I liked Abby too. She was a strong woman who was determined to move on from her damaging past relationship. I had to love Jenna who was always doing what she thought was best for Abby - whether she liked it or not.

This was a great romance and I'm so glad I got it through Goodreads Making Connections. Even though I got this book free I'm voluntarily reviewing it as I do with all the books I read.

Really enjoyed this book. Sweet Resolve is book 2 of the Lucky series but can easily be read as a stand alone. I have not read Book 1 yet & I was not lost in the reading. This book is a nice sweet contemporary second chance romance. Rachel's writing has a certain flow to it that keeps you entertained but still gives you some little surprises along the way. Rachel's writing pulls you into the story in such a way that your emotions are involved. The premise of the book is very lifelike, a teenage bully meets his primary target years later. There is a lesson that things aren't always what they appear & we need to look behind the behavior rather than at the behavior itself. Overall, a very pleasant read & a perfect book to spend an evening reading, similar in style to Susan Mallory.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

Another excellent book from Jill Sanders. This can be read as a standalone even though it is book 2 in the Silver Cove series. Lily & Adam are the main focus of this story. Lilith, or Lily as Adam calls her, is managing the Inn while her best friend is on her honeymoon. Adam is the French chef for the Inn & has been aggravating Lily for the last several months. He finally admits that he is interested in her & that's why he's been aggravating her. Lily feels the chemistry between them but has been trying to fight it. Lily has a secret in her past & has a lot of trust issues. They are thrown together again & again between their intense chemistry, their jobs & the fact that someone is threatening her.

This book has a fast paced plot with plenty of twists & turns to keep you totally involved. The relationship between the characters is life like & you feel like you could have them as your neighbors & friends. I was pulled into the story from the wedding scene in what I would call the preamble and couldn't put the book down, finishing it in one night. My emotions were totally engaged! There was laughter, love, crying & fear written into the plot in such away that they all added to the story. I would recommend this book to everyone. You'll love it!

Sweet Resolve is the second book in Jill Sanders’ Lucky in Love series. The first was Unlucky in Love, but Sweet Resolve stands on its own so you don’t have to have read Unlucky in Love to follow the plot of the second book.

Sweet Resolve is the story of Amy and Logan who had an extremely adversarial relationship in junior high and now some twenty years later they meet again when Logan joins his Uncle Gary’s real estate agency.

It was no secret that Logan tormented Amy when they were kids. He teased her until she cried. With her best friend, Kristen, Amy concocts a list of possible ways that she can exact her revenge on Logan after all of these years.

Besides the conflict of the past, there is also the question as to how Logan will fit into his uncle’s agency. As the nephew, will Logan be handed the partnership that Amy has worked so hard for?

Sweet Resolve is a pleasant and fairly predictable read. For those interested in the heat index it is probably 3 out of 5.

I wish that Sanders’ had had a bit more fun with the pranks because that is what initially drew me to the story–not the idea of revenge, but the possibility of humor attached to the pranks. The climax, although foreshadowed, was interesting enough to end the book on a good note.

Who would enjoy this book? Someone looking for a light romance with some sizzle.

Excellent book. Not sure why I have delayed reading this series for so long but I really enjoy this one. Coming to Pride to attend her brother's funeral, Megan Kimble might just have found the perfect place to hide from her abusive ex husband. The town is nice, the people warm and welcoming. It's a place she can feel safe in. A great well written story I highly recommend.
