When one male never shuts up and the "other" male interest has had only a scant handful of lines by the halfway point of the book, the ending is entirely too obvious even for a Harlequin. (The talkative one inevitably gets the girl - even when he can scarcely open his mouth without being patronizing or otherwise annoying ... but then again, nor can she.) Add to that the fact that the plot hinges on the "other" fellow's ability to successfully feign blindness while confined to hospital and undergoing repeated examinations by a surgeon (really? nobody thought to shine a light in his eyes?)... well.
