- Specialist and renowned researcher of Dutch samplers.M.G.A. (Bix) Schipper - van Lottum graduated cum laude from her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam and then worked for about ten years as a fashion designer in Amsterdam. After that period she attended the Costume History classes at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam for two years. Dr. Frithjof W.S. from Thienen. Afterwards she lived for four years as an observer in the art history lectures of Prof. dr. Dr. J.Q. van Regteren Altena at the University of Amsterdam. In addition to research in North Holland archives relating to inventories, she prepared exhibitions and wrote books about Dutch brand and fabric slaps and education for girls between the years 1600-1900, as well as articles about North Holland jewelry, clothing and embroidery in a number of magazines. including Antiques and costume. Since 1993, a research in the old Amsterdam Courants resulted in six episodes, in which the books can be handled on the original texts and extensive index.
