Anything that was part of Basic Black just has to be good.

A novel in 3 parts, each with a different tone and style, and different place in time concerning the lives of the family. Beautifully written, this book touched something in me. I am not of Mennonite background, but any one related to those that moved here from old world Europe should be able to relate to this. This is the story of many immigrant families from the early 20th century. Worth a read.. For me one of the best books I have read in a while.
