REALLY similar to Kami-sama kiss with a tiny dash of fruits basket.... not yet sure if I'll continue overall. Story didn't really progress very far in vol one.... so, it's hard to judge if this is working continuing and where the copycat vibes stop.

Did I kind of wish this was Vampire Host? Yeah I did. Did I enjoy this for what it is? Yep!

Fairly standard fare as far as a shoujo vampire manga - Kana and Aki are childhood friends, accident in their last estranged them, Kana is more than a mere human, Aki is interested in more than just blood and bonus twin brother who I'll lay off when he's awakened is not gonna be the sweet fluffy teddy bear they remember.

The artwork is pretty and the guys are attractive. The humor was ok.

I mean overall I liked this, but it didn't wow me.

Your typical paranormal shoujo, but enjoyable. I will probably continue the series...

I'm glad it had a happy ending. It was a bit meh as an ending, but a good HEA shoujo ending is almost always fulfilling, and this one was okay enough. It's also kind of neat that this is an older woman/younger man ending.

I wouldn't honestly recommend this to anyone, but as generic shoujo go, it's not the worst.

Art continues to be mostly pretty, with some weird broken Himari figures, and it's kind of unclear where any character is standing most of the time, particularly in relation to each other. The story is kind of blah and Aoi's personality is kind of weird, though part of that here is because he's Nue, not Aoi. It's... fine enough for a generic shoujo. Not really interesting, and not really terrible. It's not funny or the most enjoyable thing in the world. It's barely even entertaining as an excuse for attractive shirtless dudes to pose randomly, though it at least passes the time.

The art of the battle at the beginning was rather nice, but it's still hard to keep track of what's happening, and the writing in this volume is some of the worst in the series. It feels like a lot of things happen off-screen and at random, so it's hard to care about anything in particular that's happening. It's still not the worst shoujo, but well...

I can’t believe how much this series went downhill by the end for me

Any actual thoughts I had about this book have left my mind because what I really want to know is: WHY IS THE FINAL VOLUME OF THIS SERIES THE ONLY ONE THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON OVERDRIVE? WHAT KIND OF EVIL MASTERMIND PLANNED THIS? This is a devastating blow after finally making it through the first FIFTEEN BOOKS OF THIS SIXTEEN BOOK SERIES, truly a tragedy.

This volume felt like straight up filler with a twist thrown in at the very end to keep the reader’s attention. Not my favorite.

WHAT A WAY TO END THE VOLUME.

This story is moving along faster than a speeding train. It’s enjoyable, but it’s also so episodic that it’s hard to tell if there’s an overarching plot the reader’s supposed to be following. Not sure that’s a good thing once you’ve hit the third volume of the series.

I was scrolling through the library's manga collection, clicking on Vol. 1's for series I had not yet read. If I had bothered to click on the author for this one, I would have realized I had previously tried two other series by this author and deserted them both early on for being so bland and generic. And now the trifecta.

Paranormal romance with vampires and werewolves and the young miss who is so irresistible to them all. It's not bad or anything as far as it goes, but I've already read Twilight, so I'm good, thank you.

Shoujo loves an age difference, bay-bee! *eye-roll* But, overall, this manga has a fitting end. If you don’t like time skips, the ending may be unsatisfying. And yes, Himari is still bland. Still, I liked the Demon Prince of Momochi House as a series.

Contains Chapters 01 - 05: This series looks really promising so far and has a lot of great characters that I look forward to getting to know better. I especially enjoyed reading about Kaede & Anise and hope to see a lot more between them in the future. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Cheeky, and slyly romantic. There are some kawaii demon characters--big draw for most of my teen anime readers--and some big vicious fights. The first volume feels like the very beginning of an introduction though. Hopefully the one big fight scene and the comical situation will draw them in for the others.

Aoi's struggle between being Nue and himself is beginning to reach a climax. As this series continues, I realize how bland Himari is.

3.5

Well, Aoi seems like a wholesome love interest. He's kind, gentle, and seems to be struggling with his inner-demons. *badum-tsk* Himari is still generic and one-note, but that's the type of MC shoujo stories love, so who am I to judge. The "maybe it's Maybelline so-called sexy with gaping mouth and elongated neck" poses seem a bit awkward, but I still like the artwork overall.

there's a bit of a mystery theme in this volume.

I read this in my quest to find a couple new manga series to read. This ended up being an okay start to this manga series but was a bit too fluffy for me.

Anise has a mysterious rose choker she is never supposed to remove. Unfortunately, one day at school it’s stolen by a strange bat-like creature who her gives her four cards. Each of the cards has a knight on it and when she kisses the cards that knight is summoned to do her bidding. Sadly (or maybe not), the knights end up being the hottest boys from her school.

The illustration in this one was very good. Shouoto does an amazing job with detail and with drawing beautiful male characters.

The background behind the knights and the rose princess is somewhat intriguing and I enjoyed the personalities of the knights Unfortunately I found Anise really, really annoying. She is really immature and drove me nuts. The story was pretty immature in general and I have no idea where it’s going.

Overall this wasn’t really for me. I thought the illustration and concept behind the story were good. However, the characters were a bit immature for me and the story was a bit too light, silly, and fluffy...I have no idea where it’s going. I’d recommend to those who enjoy high school boy drama with a magical twist to it. This is a well done manga, just not my thing.

Well, the volume two fun cliffhanger ending was a fluke. This series is too bland to bother with future volumes.

This is a very bland start to a very generic demon fantasy romance. But I already picked up the second volume from the library, so we'll see how it goes.

I was three quarters of the way through this very bland book and was certain I'd not be reading volume three. But then the final chapter of the book has the heroine transferring into a new school close to the haunted house she inherited. When some of her new classmates follow her home, at first it all plays comedically with some silly cross-dressing and such, but then there is a dramatic twist and it is revealed that one of the classmates has a secret that could cause a lot of trouble. It's the first chapter to actually catch my interest, and of course it is a cliffhanger. Back to the library for volume three!

This is an interesting read for manga fans of Fruits Basket and Princess Ai since it combines a bit of magic with traditional Japanese tradition and culture.
