Kristine M. Smith

I started reading this book and almost put it down because it had too much of a "fan" feel to it. Then I took a step back and put myself in the mindset of fandom (of which I partake) and ended up enjoying the read. I will admit there are far too many CAPITALS and exclamation points for my taste, but the love that Kris Smith had for DeForest Kelley was real, tangible and much like the love of a daughter for a father has. Plus there is a bit of "dream come true" to the story - a fan girl who is kind to her hero, starts writing to him and ultimately works her way into his and his wife's life and friendship.

I understand that the book is being re-released in September with additional photos (more photos would be excellent), but I also hope she adds more substance to what was happening in her own life at the times that she was also engaged with the Kelleys.… (meer)
