The Grumpy Fairies by Bethan Stevens is a delightful little book about some creatures you probably hadn't though much about.
You always think of the sweet and kind fairies, don't you? We all do! They love nature and have little wings, are adorable and kid friendly! But did you know the littlest ones can be absolute terrors? Grumpy, mean, annoying and terrible?! This book introduces us to those grumpy fairies that we all forget about (which is a real shame, they deserve love too!).
This book was fun! I definitely liked it for a little romp in the magical, fictional world of fairies. I highly recommend it for someone looking for a book for fairy lovers.
The illustrations are very pretty and colourful. I thought they suited the story very well. I also really love the grump faces on those fairies. The expressions and body language are a ten out of ten!

The littlest fairies are sometimes the grumpiest. They don’t want to help others or do chores. But they better watch out or the goblin will get them. This book is okay, some kids are going to love it. I think the 180 between grumpy and happy was a bit expected and too fast. There was no fear, or no real lesson. Overall I like the book, I just don’t love it.
