Recreation of her two extremely dangerous missions in April and June of 1944, her capture after a lone gunfight against an advance unit of Das Reich Panzer Division, interrogations, Ravensbruck and subcamps, execution under order from Himmler, Epilogue. At 4 1/2 I went to see the King (King George VI - the good King!) to receive on Violette's behalf the George Cross and at 7 from the French Ambassador Massigli the Croix de Guerre with Star awarded for gallentry and for killing at least one German corporal during the gun battle where she fought alone and injured.
